There is no reason you can’t combine learning and accomplishment with the fun of summer swimming.  Talk to your kids and set goals from the summer.  Maybe your little one wants to learn to swim the length of the pool or your big kid wants to be able to swim faster.  As the grownup, you can help your kids set reasonable goals as well as develop practice plans to help achieve them.

Write down the kids’ goals and chart their progress over the course of the summer.  Not only will your children experience the self-confidence that comes with setting and achieving goals, you will be making a positive investment in their health.  Swimming is great exercise and accomplishing physical fitness goals is a wonderful way of helping your children love a healthy lifestyle!
