This is a great product. We used one of these for my son and now we have one for my grandson. It holds them up in the water and they can motivate to where they want to go. You must realize, though, that anytime you have a child in the water you must remain close by and observant. This is something that gives them autonomy and a lets them learn to kick their feet.

I have used this product with both of my boys (one is 4 and the other is almost 2). It is not a substitute for a parent being right there, but no other floatation device has given them the confidence to swim and kick around independently. As long as you are supervising your child. this float will help them learn to swim like a fish!!!

Beware! Can cause drowning! I bought this for my 3 year old thinking it would be perfect for him. His 3rd time using it today and I encouraged him to try putting his face in the water while he was standing in 2 feet of water while wearing this tube. I thought he was just being brave but then realized he was trying to come up and the intertube was trying to flip over, forcing his face to stay in the water! I was so glad to be right there to pull him up! I will never use this product again. Please beware of this danger before buying! I don't want any child to get hurt!
